Take advantage of the Christmas’ mood and remain on the comfy couch with these new suggestions!

New Year, new life! New habits, new beginnings.
By this time we are all making our list of what we accomplished or did this passing year, and what we will not be doing in the coming one, with the goals we want to achieve and mentally stating “This will be the year!”.
It was with that in mind that we came up with six interesting suggestions for the start of the new year.
1. A Movie.

Twenty. Chi-ho, Kyung-jae and Dong-woo are three 20-years-old friends that are starting their adult life. One is a playboy, the other has zero skills with women and the third watches his dreams fall apart when his family goes bankrupt. Presenting Kim Woo-bin, Lee Junho and Kang Ha-neul, Twenty is a korean comedy that will leave you glued to the screen from the beginning and will make you laugh good laughs. (Note: not advisable for under 15-years-old)
2. A Tv Show.

Shetland. Based on the works of Ann Cleeves, Shetland is a scotish crime series that brings up the dark side of the human nature. In the scotish archipelago, strange things happen, but, fortunately, detective Jimmy Pérez and his team are nearby. The show has already five seasons and it’s an excellent option for those who wish to travel without leaving the couch. The landscapes are fantastic and the soundtrack wraps the spectator as if it were a warm blanket.
3. A Book.

North and South. Margaret Hale lived her entire life in the South of England, surrounded by nature. However, her life completely changes when she is forced to move to the north of the country, amidst the industrial revolution. It’s in the grey town of Milton that Margaret will discover that there are other realities beyond her own and, maybe, find love. North and South is a social romance by Elizabeth Gaskell, where the author approaches subjects such as social conflicts, work safety and modern versus tradition. It seems to be heavy reading, but in truth is a pleasant and engaging novel, that questions matters still discussed today and with a touch of romance.
4. A Manga.

Kuroshitsuji (aka Black Butler). Set in the Victorian age, Kuroshitsuji follows the path of the prideful Ciel Phantomhive and his loyal butler, Sebastian Michaelis. Ciel seems to be only an orphaned, rich and arrogant 13-year-old child that goes everywhere with his butler. However, the Phantomhive mansion is more than it appears to be, and Sebastian is, simply put, “one hell of a butler”. Being first published in 2006, Kuroshitsuji is already a manga with a very extensive reputation. Drenched in dark humor and with a touch of thriller, it 's perfect for those who want to start a new reading in 2021.
5. An Anime

Another. And continuing with the sinister ambience, why not try Another, a 2012 anime, that tells us the story of the curse of 3-3 class. Sakakibara Kouichi is a young man that is transferred to class 3-3, which has a strange relationship with the rest of the school. Curious as to why that happens and the fact that one of his classmates is always alone, Sakakibara decides to investigate what happened 26 years ago and what made the class be cursed since then. Another is a horror and mystery anime that will leave you glued to the screen since the first episode, not only for the narrative but also for the impactful and dark scenes that characterize it. Do you dare to watch it?
6. A Drama.

Pinocchio. Ki Ha-myung is a happy man, that watches his life fall apart with the death of his father and the exposure of his family through the press. Life circumstances take Ha-myung’s path to cross with Choi in-ha‘s, a girl that suffers from Pinocchio Syndrome and dreams of becoming a journalist like her mother, Song Cha-ok, the woman that destroyed the boy’s family. with the goal of uncovering the truth about his family, Ha-myung becomes a journalist in the same television network that In-ha works, but things get complicated due to the feeling that they both harbor towards each other. With Lee Jong-suk and Park Shin-hye, this korean drama is a lighter option than the ones suggested before, but engaging nonetheless.
And thus we come to the end of another list of good suggestions, this time for the new year. Each one with a new beginning, new experiences and a lot of emotions! Because that is what we wish: a lot of love, joy, health and peace, along with many fulfilled goals and experiences in 2021! Stay well and don’t forget to protect yourselves! FIGHTING!!!
