Breath in, breath out... and relax!

When my cousin and I started this project, Ecletic Heart, it was with the goal of sharing opinions and giving attention to things we liked to do, such as watching dramas, series, anime and reading. Particularly, I have always been a person who really likes to read, a child who was always with the 'face stuck in a book'. The crime and mystery genre was my favorite, and it still is.

However, with getting old and life becoming more rushed, I ended up having to leave reading aside. There was simply no time for that. I did not read anything for a year or two, until one day I looked at my bookshelves and realized that this had to end. My taste in books has never disappeared. The desire to buy new books, to seek (possible) new readings has always been present. However, the habit of reading was lost.

Since the project started and we entered 2021, I have tried to regain the habit of reading (almost) every day. Reading can be therapeutic and a form of meditation, of recharging batteries. That was one of the reasons for entering the Read Christie 2021 Challenge. However, March was very complicated. I chose Sparkling Cyanide, but the fact of not having the physical book and not being able to enter in the story, made it very difficult for me to read the book. It also happens to you that you want to like a book but, wherever you go, doesn’t meet your expectations? I hate that that happens when it comes to my favorite authors, and I really love Agatha Christie.

In addition, I have been discovering that I prefer the physical book to the ebook. Although I have read a lot of manga digitally (and yes, the ebook has its advantages), I believe that having the physical book helps me get back to it more easily. And you, what do you prefer?

March was a difficult month for reading, but April is at the door and with it a new reading.
