When she sees herself with her newborn baby and her friend’s baby who has just been killed, she promises to herself that she will do everything in her power to protect the two children. A bold, intelligent woman who’s willing to do anything to protect them, even if it means losing her life, because a mother is a mother.

An excellent series that explores several ethical and moral problems, such as sexual slavery, the role of women in the surrounding society, corrupt society, among others.
3. Florbela Espanc

Named Flor Bela Lobo, it was called Florbela d'Alma da Conceição Espanca, but it was like Florbela Espanca that it became known. Considered as the great female figure of the first decades of Portuguese literature of the 20th century, she lived a full, tumultuous life and full of loving sufferings. She was one of the first women in Portugal to attend high school and one of the few who would attend the Faculty of Law at the time. She married three times and divorced twice. She was never afraid to love intensely, and as a result she suffered the prejudice of society. Throughout her life, she suffered a spontaneous miscarriage, a neurosis and was diagnosed with pulmonary edema, which led her to attempt suicide three times. She worked as a journalist and wrote poetry, short stories, epistles and a diary. Her poems are full of eroticization, femininity and have as their main theme love, as well as everything it entails, such as loneliness, longing, seduction or desire. She received several awards, one of which was the António Vaz Leitão Prize. Florbela Espanca stimulated the literary emancipation of women, at a time led by men. She committed suicide at age 36. However, she will always be remembered as a woman who lived according to her motto of life: live intensely and love despairingly!
4. Honda Tohru

Unlike the previous protagonists, Honda Tohru from Fruits Basket, is apparently a simple and weak girl, but with an enormous strength of life and resilience that makes her admired by everyone around her. Despite the fact that she lost her father when she was little and then lost her mother as well and that she misses them, she does not cross her arms or let herself sink into solitude. She moves on and always with a smile on her face that will bring joy and hope to everyone who crosses her path. Nobody can remain indifferent to the contagious light of this girl.

San in Princess Mononoke is the pure representation of the worst and the best that humanity has. Left behind by her parents in the forest, she was fortunate to be welcomed by a wolf who took care of her while she was growing up. She has no faith in the human being until Ashitaka crosses her life and awakens the human feelings within her.
